Desert learning

Educational Sahara Trips for Student Groups

A night in the Sahara is often the moment students remember most. With the right preparation it is also a strong learning experience about landforms, climate, water and the people who live at the desert's edge.

Educational value

Around Merzouga students can see how dunes form and move, how oases depend on fragile water sources, and how nomadic and settled communities have adapted to extreme heat and scarcity — and how tourism is changing that balance.
